CourtesyMask Ltd ("CourtesyMask," "we," "us," or "our") provides the ShowVanta mobile application ("ShowVanta" or the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how ShowVanta handles information when it is used on an iPhone or iPad.
1. Privacy summary
CourtesyMask does not collect, sell, rent, share, or use personal information through ShowVanta for advertising or tracking. ShowVanta does not require an account or login and does not include advertising, analytics, or third-party tracking SDKs.
ShowVanta stores limited connection settings and preferences locally on the device. During live operation, it communicates directly over the user's local network with the lighting-control computer selected by the user. That traffic is not routed through CourtesyMask servers.
2. Information stored locally on the device
ShowVanta may store the following information locally on the user's device:
The local-network IPv4 address and optional HTTP port entered for the user's lighting-control computer.
The selected connection mode.
Setup-guide, Offline Demo, and interface preferences.
Temporary controller, readiness, and session state needed for operation.
This information is used only to operate the App, restore the user's selected connection, and maintain interface state. CourtesyMask does not receive this locally stored information.
Users can change the saved connection information in ShowVanta's Connection Settings. Local App data normally remains on the device until it is changed or the App is deleted. Device backups and restoration are controlled by the user and Apple and may restore locally stored App data.
3. Local-network communication
ShowVanta requests permission to access the local network so it can communicate with the lighting-control host chosen by the user. When Live mode is configured, the App may:
Send lighting-control commands to the user-entered host.
Request controller status, scene information, artwork, and control values from that host.
Test whether the configured host is reachable.
These communications occur directly between the Apple device and the user-selected host on the local network. CourtesyMask does not operate an intermediary server and does not receive this traffic.
ShowVanta communicates with the configured host using HTTP or, when supported and selected by the user, HTTPS. Plain HTTP traffic is not encrypted. Users should operate ShowVanta only with a trusted host on a properly secured network. The selected host computer, router, firewall, or network administrator may create logs according to their own configuration and policies; CourtesyMask does not control or receive those logs.
Users can revoke Local Network access in iOS or iPadOS Settings. Revoking access prevents Live mode from communicating with the configured host, but Offline Demo remains available.
4. Offline Demo
Offline Demo uses bundled sample artwork and local sample state. It does not discover or contact a lighting-control host and does not send live lighting commands. Entering or leaving Offline Demo does not transmit the user's saved host address to CourtesyMask.
5. Data collection, tracking, and advertising
ShowVanta does not:
Create user accounts or profiles.
Collect personal information for CourtesyMask.
Use advertising or analytics SDKs.
Track users across apps or websites.
Sell or share personal information.
Access location, contacts, calendars, the camera, or the microphone.
If a user voluntarily contacts CourtesyMask for support, CourtesyMask receives the information the user chooses to provide, such as an email address, device details, diagnostic information, or message content. Support communications are used only to respond to the request, troubleshoot the App, maintain appropriate business records, and comply with legal obligations. They are retained only as long as reasonably necessary for those purposes.
6. Third-party services and software
Apple distributes ShowVanta through the App Store and TestFlight and may process purchase, download, diagnostic, or account information under Apple's own privacy policies and device settings. CourtesyMask does not control Apple's processing.
ShowVanta includes a user-initiated link to the Light Guy Group website. The App does not open or contact that website automatically. If a user chooses to open the link, the website may receive ordinary web-request information, such as the user's IP address, browser information, and request time, and may use cookies or other technologies under its own privacy policy. The website's operator controls that processing.
Live operation requires separately installed third-party lighting-control software on a computer controlled by the user or venue. Information handled by that computer is governed by its owner, administrator, software provider, and network policies. ShowVanta does not send that information to CourtesyMask.
ShowVanta is an independent companion controller and is not affiliated with or endorsed by MADRIX.
7. Data retention and deletion
CourtesyMask has no ShowVanta account database or App-generated personal-data records to delete because the App does not send such information to CourtesyMask.
Users can change saved connection settings within the App. Deleting ShowVanta from the device normally removes its locally stored App data. Information contained in an Apple-managed device backup is controlled through the user's Apple and device backup settings.
For support correspondence, users may contact CourtesyMask using the address below to request deletion, subject to any information that must be retained for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or legitimate business-record purposes.
8. Children's privacy
ShowVanta is a professional lighting-control utility and is not directed to children under 13. The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when ShowVanta's features, legal requirements, or data practices change. We will post the revised policy at this location and update the "Last updated" date. If ShowVanta's data practices materially change, we will also update the App Store privacy disclosures and provide any notice or consent required by applicable law.
